Ann J. (McDermott) Ferris of Haverhill, a former resident of Boston for over 60 years died on Saturday, November 17th at Lawrence General Hospital. She was 89 years old. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Mary (Hall) McDermott). Mrs. Ferris worked as a Secretary for the Boston Public Schools personnel office for over 10 years, retiring in 1978. The beloved wife of the late Eugene J. Ferris Sr., she was the loving mother of Maureen A. Ferris of Bradford, Eugene J. Ferris Jr. of Milton, Robert P. Ferris of Swampscott, Peter M. Ferris of Mt. Sinai, NY and the late Neal P. Ferris. Sister of Marguerite T. Walsh of Haverhill, and the late Mary G. Holman and Thomas F. McDermott, she is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 nieces and 2 nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Lucy’s Church, 254 Merrimack St. Methuen on Tuesday November 20th at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
