LOWELL- Edward S. Dugan, 80 years old, a longtime resident of Lowell and formerly of Billerica, died Friday evening, November 16th, at the Lowell General Hospital. He was husband of the late Kathleen I. (Brown) Dugan, who died in December of 2000.
He was born in Billerica, on September 5, 1927, a son of the late Edward and Lillian (Saunders) Dugan, and was a graduate of the Billerica Public Schools.
Mr. Dugan served in the United States Army for 23 years, and received the European-Asiatic-Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon, the American Defense Service Medal, the WW II Victory Medal, the Army Occupation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal.
He had been employed as a Quality Inspection Specialist for Lockheed Martin, formerly Sanders Associates, in Nashua from his discharge in 1968 until he retired in 1992.
Surviving him are two sons and daughters-in-law: Robert E. and Margaret Dugan, of Lakeville; Ret. USAF Col. Richard A. and Paula Dugan, of Ogden, UT; a daughter and son-in-law: Kathleen and Walter Just, of Nashua, NH; four grandchildren: Jessica and Derek Dugan, of Utah, and Michael and Ashley Just, of Nashua, NH; a brother-in-law: Arthur Brown, of Dracut; also several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, November 19th at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). His Funeral Service to be held on Tuesday, November 20th, at 1 PM at the funeral home. Burial in the Edson Cemetery.
