SPENCER: Rudolph "Rudy" V. Provencher,84, of 3 Clark Terr., died Friday,
November 16 at UMASS Memorial Hospital, 55 Lake Ave. in Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 61 years, Jeanne L. (Delongchamp) Provencher, three
sons Rick V. Provencher and his wife Debbie of W.Brookfield, Jamie J.
Provencher and his wife Debra of Merrimack, N.H. and Vincent P. Provencher
and his wife Pamela of Oxford, a daughter Janine A. Bryant and her husband
Alan of Southwick, six grand children Jeffrey and Jason Bryant of Southwick,
Kayla and Jillian Provencher of Merrimack, Tanner and Tyler Provencher of
Oxford and several nieces and nephews.
Rudy worked for Wright Wire Co. in Worcester for 7 years before retiring in
1986, previously he was employed by Millbury High Carbon for 16 years.
He was an Army veteran of WWII, and a member of the Gaudette-Kirk Post 138
American Legion in Spencer. He was a member of Mary,Queen of the Rosary
Parish, Senior Citizen Club of Leicester, and AARP (Spencer Chapter). He was
an avid "cribbage player" and took great pride and affection in his 6 grand
children and all of their lives.
Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Eugene and Esma (Coutu) Provencher and
has lived here since 1938.
The funeral will be held on Monday, Nov. 19 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON
FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of
the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow with Military
Honors in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours for Rudy
are Sunday, Nov. 18 from 3 to 5p.m.
