Obituary

Laconia-Leo Charles Langlois, Jr., 78, of 765 Union Avenue died Friday morning, November 16, 2007 at Lakes Region General Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Laconia on September 4, 1929, he was the son of the late Lionel C. and Clara J. (Johnson) Langlois. Leo had been a lifelong resident of Laconia, graduating from Laconia High School. He had attended St. Anselm’s College.

Prior to his retirement Leo was employed by the former Nalew’s Inc. in Gilford, the former Prescott’s Lumber in Meredith, and New Hampshire Ball Bearing in Laconia. Honorably serving his country, Leo was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War. Leo was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Laconia.

Leo is survived by his sister Claire L. Musante and her husband Jack of Gilford; his brother John F. Langlois and his wife Wanda of Stone Mountain, Georgia. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive Leo.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday November 24, 2007 at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Gary J. Kosmowski pastor of the church celebrated Leo's mass. Burial followed in the family lot at St. Lambert Cemetery, Province Street, Laconia. There were no visiting hours.
