Bridgewater - Kevin A. Rose, a lifelong resident of Bridgewater, died suddenly at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Oct. 27, 2007.
Born in Stoughton, he was a 1979 graduate of Bristol Plymouth High School, where he was class Valedictorian.
At graduation, he was awarded the Senior Governor Award from Michael Dukakis.
After high school, he graduated from Johnson & Wales University, Summa Cumlaude, with a bachelor's degree and a GPA of 4.0.
He was a manager for Burger King for the past three years.
He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, where he was an Eagle Scout, the Elks Club and was a past director of the Bridgewater Civil Defense.
He enjoyed cooking, cruising and being a foster parent.
He is survived by his wife, Paula (Rodrigues); he was a son of Esther (Sargent) Rose of Bridgewater and the late Joseph; brother of Joseph L. and Daren J., both of Bridgewater, and the late Michael F. Rose; foster parent of Kevin Bossardt of Bridgewater. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was the grandson of the late Emma and Joseph Rose, Marjorie Godsoe-Sargent and Lawrence Sargent.
A funeral service will be held Friday in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
