Hildur (Hamnquist) Single, 95, died Wednesday, November 14, 2007 after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late William L. Single. Born in Boston, she was a graduate of Boston Schools. Mrs. Single was a longtime resident of Stoughton and spent may summers at Indian Mound Beach in Buzzards Bay. She was a homemaker. An animal lover and accomplished painter, in her free time, she enjoyed crafts, sewing and needlepoint.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother David P. Hamnquist. She is survived by her niece Mary Ellen Gearin of Roslindale and her nephews Philip Hamnquist of Brockton, David Hamnquist of Provincetown and Jon Hamnquist of Marstons Mills. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews including her great nephew Scott Hamnquist.
Graveside Services will be held at the VA National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne on Monday, November 26 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Sunday at 2-5 PM.
