
Gaspare G. Puccio, a long time Medford resident, died Tuesday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, after a lengthy illness. He was 66.
Mr. Puccio was born in Palermo, Sicily, the son of the late Antonino and the late Maria (Torregrossa) Puccio. After his high school education Mr. Puccio served in the Italian Navy.
In 1972 Gaspare brought his family to the United States and settled in Medford.
He worked as a plasterer in the construction industry until his retirement in 1987.
Gaspare was an active member of Boston’s St. Rosalia society and the Marinai D’Italia Society of Boston.
He is survived by his beloved wife Fortunata (Ruisi), his sons Anthony, Lorenzo and Danny and a daughter Maria Carter. He leaves his grandaughters Christina, Sofia, and Alessia.He leaves his brother Giovanni Puccio, and sisters Enza Marraffa, Franca Puccio, Stella Puccio and Rosa Ventura.Gaspare is also survived by many dear brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit Thursday from 4 thru 9 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.His funeral mass will be offered in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, Friday at 11:00 am.
Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
