TYNGSBORO – Earl H. Hunter, 83, of Tyngsboro died Wednesday November 14, 2007 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Tyngsboro on April 5, 1924, he was the husband of Byrl C. (Rice) Hunter to whom he celebrated his 61st wedding anniversary on April 28th. He was also the son of the late Arthur E. and Dolly (Cate) Hunter.
Mr. Hunter was educated at the Winslow School in Tyngsboro. In his lifetime he wore many hats. He owned and operated Hunter Dairy Farm in Tyngsboro until his retirement in 1990. In his earlier years he was also tree warden for the town, as well as being employed by the highway department and worked as custodian for the town dump for several years. Mr. Hunter enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, listening to country music, and going to the stock car races.
Mr. Hunter is survived by two sons Allan M. Hunter of Center Barnstead, NH and Arthur Hunter of Tyngsboro; six daughters Linda G. Connell and her husband Warren of Tyngsboro, Shirley A. Rancourt of Nashua, NH, Paula R. Hamel of New Ipswich, NH, Susan D. Bourdeau of Loudon, NH, Lisa M. Hunter of Nashua, NH, and Faith E. Twining and her husband Jim of Tyngsboro; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister Blanche Clarke and two grandsons.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Saturday from 2 until 4 PM. His funeral will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 4 PM. Cremation will follow. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Lung Association of Massachusetts, 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451-1991.
