Mrs. Helen C. (Russo) Donovan, age 86 died Wednesday Nov. 14, 2007 at the Winchester Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Woburn, Helen has been a lifelong Woburn resident. She was the beloved daughter of the late Sophie (Passinante) & Lorenzo Russo.
Helen worked as a customer service rep. at the Unifirst Corp. for over 20 years. She retired in 1984. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling, spending time with her children, especially her grandchildren and great grandkids. Also Helen was a graduate of Woburn High School.
Helen was the beloved wife of the late James Francis Donovan. Devoted mother of James Jr. and his wife Patricia of Wrentham, Michael and his wife Mary, Ruth Ann Meuse and her husband Bill all of Billerica, Bob and his wife Nancy of Seattle, Leo and his wife Barbara of Woburn, Patty Frustaglia and her husband John of Medford, Cheryl Gonsalves and her husband Paul of Woburn. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and the late Shawn and Cassandra Donovan. Further survived by 21 loving great grandchildren. Sister of Ruth Pica and her husband Alfred of Woburn.
Funeral from the McLaughlin- Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 8 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 100 Washington St. Woburn at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
