Joan Como, 68, of Fitzgerald, died Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Dorminy Medical Center.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 17, 2007, at the First Presbyterian Church in Fitzgerald with Rev. Steve O'Neal officiating. The family may be contacted at the residence of Juanita McLamb, 103 Sullivan Ct., Fitzgerald.
Ms. Como was born October 30, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Leo Edward and Laura Belshan Grabski. She lived in the community for the past seven years from Atlanta, where she worked as a lab technician for Smith –Kline. Ms. Como was a former resident of Peekskill, New York, where she worked as medical transcriptionist and she was a former employee of Xerox. She attended First Presbyterian Church in Fitzgerald and loved to sing Karaoke.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lanae & Mike McLamb of Fitzgerald and Diane & Trey Bullion of Carrolton, TX. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lee Grabski.
