Obituary

Lynne Kelley-Lewicki, 54, of Stonington and Canton, spouse of Raymond Lewicki, passed away unexpectedly at their shoreline home on Saturday, November 10, 2007.

She was born in Detroit, MI and spent her childhood years in Manchester, CT, the daughter of Robert and the late Thora June Kelley. Lynne met her husband Ray during college, and the two were married in 1976. Sharing their passion for traveling over the years, they particularly enjoyed getting away from it all on sailing trips.

As an officer at the Stonington Harbor Yacht Club, Lynne nurtured their love for sailing.

A long and successful career in consulting also took Lynne to many places here and abroad, most recently as the Regional Strategies Director for Effective Workplace Practice for The Nelson Group. Lynne approached her career with the same zest that she lived life. Her ability to effect positive change in all that she did was truly remarkable. She displayed this energy as a tireless supporter of the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, where she spent countless hours volunteering.

Lynne will be dearly missed by her family and many close friends, who will always reflect fondly on her energy for living life to the fullest and appreciating every moment of it.

Besides her husband, Lynne leaves her father Robert of Roanoke, VA; sister Nancy Estey and her husband Elmer of Troutville, VA; and three nieces and four nephews, Kelley Denny, Ashley and Briana Demusz, Christopher Estey, Adam Lewicki, and Kai and Noah Demusz; and two great nieces, Vivian and Lauren Denny. She also leaves her German shepherd, Jake, and cats Chloe, Grace and Stella.

A memorial service honoring Lynne will be held at the Calvary Church, 27 Church Street in the Borough of Stonington, CT on Friday, Nov. 16 at 10:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of Lynne may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at JDRF, 20 Batterson Park Road, Farmington CT 06032.
