Lionel J. “Bucko” Lanouette Sr. age 75 of Salem, NH, entered into eternal peace and rest on Monday at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Methuen, MA, where he grew up and attended school. He was a resident of Salem for the past 5 years, formerly of Raymond, NH.
Bucko was a retired custodian for the Methuen School System. He also had worked for Freeman Fuel in Methuen. He attended Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem, was a member of the Knights of Columbus # 6850, Raymond-Epping Council. He loved bowling and was active with the Salem & Raymond Senior Citizens Center. Bucko was also A US Air Force Veteran, serving during the Korean War.
He is survived by his Wife: Sylvia (Lafontaine) Lanouette of Salem
2 Sons: Lionel J. Jr. & Paul F. Lanouette Sr. both of Raymond, NH
4 Daughters: Rosanne Brown, Carolyn Lanouette, & Jean Hazelton all of Salem, NH, & Rita Souza of Hudson, NH
4 Sisters: Helen & her Husband Francis Prescott of Florida, Rose & her Husband Joseph Drelick of Methuen, Rita Gagnon & Florence Berry both of Methuen
8 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces & Nephews
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 16 at 10:30 AM at Mary Queen of Peace Church, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, Nov. 15 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH.
