TEWKSBURY - Edward F. Lynch, age 80, a resident of Tewksbury for the last five decades, died Monday afternoon, Nov. 12, at the Blairehouse of Tewksbury after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Elizabeth "Bette" (Bernier) Lynch, with whom she had celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary this past June 29th.
He was born in Lowell, on October 9, 1927, a son of the late Michael and Beatrice (Armburg) Lynch. He was raised in Lowell, but had lived in Tewksbury since 1957.
During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army, as a part of the Occupation Force in Germany.
He retired from the Raytheon Company's Drafting Department after a distinguished career in the West Andover, Shawsheen, and Bedford divisions.
Mr. Lynch was a life member of the D.A.V., and will be remembered for his love of Trout fishing.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Fisette and her husband Russ of Tewksbury, Laura Dunn and her husband Jim of Londonderry, NH; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Daniel Lynch of Tewksbury, and David Lynch and his wife Pam of Derry, NH; ten grandchildren, Michelle and Angela Fisette, Scott, Tom, and Ryan Dunn, Tia Warren, Cassandra Larmand, Miles Marone, Paige and Spencer Lynch; two sisters, Ann Lynch of Salem, NH, Theresa Smith of CO; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also brother of the late Walter, and William Lynch, Dorothy Michelin, and Bernice Ducharme.
His Funeral Service was held on November 17, in the funeral home. Memorials to the charity of donor's choice will be appreciated.
