Obituary

Mr. Albert T. Gill, age 79 of Medford died Sunday in New England Medical Center Boston following a lengthy illness. He is the husband of Rose (Palazzolo) Gill with whom he shared more than 52 years of marriage. Born in Medford, son of the late Albert T. and Rokina (Taibi) Gill, he was educated in the Somerville School System He served in the Army as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict.
He worked as a Presser in the Ladies Garment Manufacturing industry and was widely known in that industry as “the best presser in Boston”. Because of his meticulous clothing and keen eye for style he was also known as the Best dressed man in Medford. During his time in the Army he worked in the motor pool, he loved to work on automobiles and his beloved Lincoln. Until computerization of cars, there were few vehicles he could not fix. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed swimming. In his spare time he loved to sing and dance. He also played the drums.
Mr. Gill was a former member of the VFW, Baltimore Post and a member of the Dante Club of Somerville.
In addition to his wife, he leaves 2 sons, Albert T. Gill Jr. of Medford, David Gill and his wife Donna of Methuen. Loving grandfather of Kayla Rogers and David Gill. Dear brother of Marie “Mamie” Alioto of Medford and Domenic DeVito of CA.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main Street MEDFORD Friday at 9 am. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street Medford at 10 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm. Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
