Jimmy A. Pafford, 69, of Fitzgerald, died Monday, November 12, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Wednesday, November 14, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with Rev. David Fisher and Rev. Barry Gordon officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Pafford was born June 25, 1938 in Atkinson County, to the late Jesse D. and Katie Mae Bennett Pafford. He lived in the community most of his life, graduating from Fitzgerald High School in 1957. Mr. Pafford was a retired storekeeper from GTE. He served in the United States Army and was a member and Deacon of Crossview Baptist Church.
Mr. Pafford is survived by his wife, Louella Davis Pafford of Fitzgerald; brother and sisters-in-law, Gerald P. & Cora Pafford of Jacksonville, FL, Jesse R. Pafford of Waco, TX and Kenneth K. and Jane Pafford of North Richardson Hill, TX; sisters and brother-in-law, Marie M. Troup of Clearwater, FL, Ruth & Roger Roberts and Edith Holley of Fitzgerald; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin D. Pafford.
