Funeral Services for Richard M. Stubbs, age 68, of Rebecca, Georgia will be held Wednesday November 14, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Rebecca Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Stubbs died Monday at Tift Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
Mr. Stubbs was a native and lifelong resident of Turner County the son of the late Albert & Gertrude Bloodworth Stubbs. He was a member of the Rebecca Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman and loved his dogs. He was a retired Civil Service employee with the Warner Robins Air Force Base.
Survivors include his wife Donnell Burdette Stubbs, Rebecca, a son Jeffrey Stubbs, Valdosta, Georgia and two sisters Marie E. (Bobby) Murphey, Milledgeville, Ga. and Carol E. ( Dewane) Lewis, Bowling Green, Ky.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from five until seven Tuesday evening.
