LOWELL: Serge J. Sauvageau, age 72, a resident of Lowell for the past 3 years, formerly of Hudson, NH, died Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the Town & Country Nursing Center in Lowell.
He was the beloved husband of Patricia M. (Morrissey) Sauvageau.
Born in St. Anne de Bellevue, Quebec, Canada on February 2, 1935, he was the son of the late William J. and Marie (Meloch) Sauvageau.
Mr. Sauvageau was raised in Peabody, Mass., and attended Peabody schools.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a truck driver by the Trans Gas Company of Lowell, where he worked for 25 years.
Mr. Sauvageau was a member of the Lowell Assembly of God Church, where he served as head usher.
According to his family, he served in the U. S. Marine Corps Reserves.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Serge Small of Hampton, VA, Annette Sell and her husband Glen of Nottingham, NH and Laura Eddings and her husband Jason of Stratford, NH; his step-children, Mary, Christine, Paula , Paul, Angela, Nancy and Carla; his grandchildren, Justin, Katrina, Katelyn, Brennen, Micah, Brittany, Caleb, Trevor, Maxwell, Jacob, Kyle and Sierra; three brothers, Gustav Sauvageau of Peabody, Emile Sauvageau and his wife Joyce of Danvers and Alfred Sauvageau and his wife Caroline of Peabody; two sisters, Claire Carey and Lauretta Silva both of Peabody; one sister-in-law, Bertha Sauvageau of Beverly; also many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Lise, Lucy, and Alphonse Sauvageau.
Calling hours Saturday, November 10th, from 9-10 a.m., at the Lowell Assembly of God Church, 995 Andover St., Rte. 133, Tewksbury, funeral service to follow at the church. Interment Tuesday, November 13th, at 10 a.m., at Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lowell Assembly of God Church, 995 Andover St., Tewksbury, MA 01876.
