Jacques Dupont, 56 of Derry, NH died November 10, 2007 at his home. Jacques was born in Degelis, Quebec, Canada on January 17, 1951 the son of the late, Georges and Evelyn (Morin) Dupont. He had resided in Derry since 1972, formerly living in Lawrence, MA and Canada. He was the owner and operator of Jacques Dupont Construction, Inc. in Derry. He was a member of the Home Builders & Remodeler’s Association in Southern NH. He was a former East Derry Call Firefighter. Jacques loved his family and enjoyed traveling, skiing, hunting, and carpentry. He will be remembered for having a zest for life.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Barbara A. (Bouchard) Dupont of Derry, one son, Shawn M. Dupont and his fiancé Nicole M. Clarke of Warner, NH, one daughter, Rachelle L. Ryan and her husband Gregg E. of Salem, two sisters, Georgette Dupont of Degelis, Quebec, Jacqueline Dumont of Valleyfield, Quebec, one brother, Julien Dupont of Salem, also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ovila Dupont.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday from 4 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. Encryptment followed in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, Manchester.
