Michael C. Durling, 30, of South Boston, Virginia formerly of Mansfield died unexpectedly on Friday November 9, 20007 at the Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, Virginia.
Born in Attleboro, MA on September 8, 1977 he was a loving son of the late Charles W. and Linda L. (Collins) Durling.
Michael grew up in Mansfield, was educated in Mansfield schools and was a graduate of Mansfield High School.
He had made his home in South Boston, Virginia for the past 9 ½ years and was formerly of Mansfield for most of his life.
He is survived by his devoted sisters; Kelley Durling of East Bridgewater, Kerrie Durling of Halifax, Virginia, Melinda Durling of North Attleboro, Melissa Durling Norris of Eden, North Carolina, Kendra Durling of South Boston, Virginia, Kimberly Durling of Mansfield and Marcy Durling of South Boston, Virginia, he was the loving maternal grandson of Ethel Collins currently of Wareham and the late Warren Collins and the paternal grandson of Helen Ingraham of Crystal Rivers, Florida and the late Charles W. Durling, also surviving are his cherished 5 nieces, and 2 nephews.
Memorial visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday November 17th from 5-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield. Private burial will be held at a later date in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Foxboro.
In lieu of flowers Michael’s family has strongly suggested that donations in his memory be made to the Durling Family Trust Fund care of Melinda Durling 84 England Road North Attleboro, MA 02760.
