Obituary

Methuen, Ma. – John L. Piazza, 90 yrs. died Thursday November 8, 2007 at Nevins Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre.
Born and educated in East Boston he was the son of Luigi and Angelina Piazza.
For 20 years John had been employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Truck Driver before his retirement in 1981.

During World War II Mr. Piazza served his country with the Rank of CPL, in the United States Army before being honorably discharged at wars end.
John was the recipient of the American Defense Service Medal and the American Service Medal. John was an avid Red Sox fan.

John was an attendant of St. Monicas Church in Methuen, and a member of the No. Reading K of C Council # 4544, and a 4th degree member as well and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 1511.

The widower of Ann (Fox) Piazza; survivors include children Patricia Tucci of Marlboro, Veronica & husband Martin Barnes of No. Reading, Rita MacDonald of North Andover, Joann Piazza of Methuen, son John Piazza of Florida, and Angelo Piazza of Alexandria, VA, and brother Angelo Piazza 17 grandchildren, 24 greatgrandchildren 2 greatgreatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His daughter-inlaw Patricia Piazza
John was predeceased by his daughter Kathleen MacDonald and his brothers Louis Piazza, Joseph, Salvatore, Tony, and sisters Nita Donegan, and Stella Rindone and son-inlaw Rosario Tucci.

A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock in St. Monicas Church in Methuen with burial to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 2-4 & 6-9 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
