Robert F. Meagher, Jr., 67 of Malden, died Thursday after a brief illness in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA.
Born in Medford, he has lived in Malden for the past 45 years and was the son of the late Margaret T. (Ryan) and Robert F. Meagher, Sr.. Robert was the Retired Proprietor of Meagher Getty in Medford for many years. Robert also was a member of the Medford Elks Lodge #915 and held the offices of Past Exalter Ruler, Past Trustee and Past District Deputy. He also was past Commodore of the Mystic Wellington Yacht Club, Medford American Legion Post 45, and the Malden Irish American Club.
Beloved husband of Evelyn (Fish) Meagher. Devoted father of Kim Perry and her husband of John Marocco of Andover. Loving grandfather of Robert Perry and Scott Perry. Brother of William Meagher of Newton, John Meagher of Medford, and the late Patricia Foubert.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 11 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Sunday 3 thru 7.
Interment will be private.
