Beloved mother of Roberta Marcin and her husband Anthony, Cathy Beck and her husband Les, Sheila Bruno and her husband Carl and James Barone all of Everett, Mary Morabito and her husband Richard of Chelsea, Robert Cowels and his wife Ruthie of Revere, Patricia Cowels and Michael Cowels both of Chelsea, Philip Cowels and his wife Felicia of New Hampshire and Barbara Iannuzzi and her husband James of West Peabody. Dear and loving sister of Helen Cooper of Tewksbury, Elizabeth Quinlan of Rhode Island, Ernest Hewitt of Chelsea and John Hewitt of Florida. Cherished grandmother of 23 and great grandmother of 9. Also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Tuesday morning, November 13th at 10 AM with the Rev. Thomas Coots officiating. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Born in Everett and a longtime Chelsea resident, Bertha passed away at her daughters home after a long illness.
