Gertrude Williams, 88, formerly of Church Street, an employee of Worcester Textiles before retiring died Tuesday at Haven Health Center in Smithfield.
Miss Williams had also been a waitress at Tom’s Lodge in Smithfield.
Born in Smithfield, a daughter of the late Edgar L. and Elizabeth (McGrory) Williams. She had been a lifelong resident of Smithfield.
She is survived by her siblings, Elizabeth Ingelsby, of Florida, Hazel M. Battey, of Greenville, and Ralph R. Williams of North Kingston. She was the sister of the late Henry, Chester, and Edgar Williams, Lucille Farrar and Ruth Williams.
Her funeral service will be held Friday at 10:00 am in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burialis private. Visitation Thursday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Greenville Fire & Rescue, 607 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI 02828.
