Obituary

Kenneth Edward Mauldin, 79, of Tifton died Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2007, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Ronnie Vice will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Lyndell Easters, Larry Merwarth, Stan English, Jon Griffin, Dewayne Franks, Bobby Brannen, Tommy Cook, Johnny O'Quinn, Tommy Sullivan and Ken Christianson. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 9, 2007, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Mr. Mauldin was born on May 18, 1928 in Collins, Mississippi and was the son of William Melvin Mauldin and Annie Lee Craft Mauldin, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ladell Mauldin and Collett Mauldin. He was retired from the United States Army, having served 22 years, and a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Mr. Mauldin is survived by his wife, Hazel Lewis Mauldin of Tifton; six sons and three daughters-in-law, Thomas Mauldin of Louisiana, Michael Mauldin of Louisiana, Ned Mauldin of Louisiana, Guy and Linda Cravey, Jr. of Tifton, William and Melody Cravey of Tifton and Jerry and Katie Cravey of Tifton; three daughters and one son-in-law, Beverly Smith of Tifton, Kathleen Walker of Tifton and Trudy Cravey Sawyer and her husband, William, of Tifton; one brother, Jack Mauldin of Mississippi; two sisters, Jean Rogers of Mississippi and Annette Knight of Mississippi; 19 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Tiftarea or the American Cancer Society.
