Joseph E. Weir of Weymouth, formerly of Dedham, died November 4, 2007 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was 59. He was the beloved husband of Deborah (Clapp) Weir.
Born and raised in Dedham, the son of the late William and Margaret (O’Brien) Weir, he has lived in Weymouth for several years. He worked for Allan Young Movers.
He was the devoted father of Tracey, Kenneth, Michelle, Jennifer, and Laura Weir. Stepfather of Staci Breen and Shawn and Rachael Clapp. Brother of William Weir of Plainville, John Weir of Carver, Michael, Paul and Kenneth Weir all of Dedham, and Donna Guastali of Dover and Paula Constantino of Norwood. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
His funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, on Thursday at 8:00 AM with a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham, at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment will follow in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
