Worcester—Mary (Hoogasian) Bogosian, 90, died Sunday, November 4, 2007 at the Odd Fellows Home. Her husband, Vahan Bogosian died in 1989. She leaves two daughters, Iris Gopoyan and her husband Vasken of Worcester and Rose Marie Krikorian of North Providence, RI; 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. Her son Robert Bogosian died in 1998. Mary was born in Lowell, daughter of Asadoor and Margaret (Manoogian) Hoogasian. She was a stitcher and cleaner for many area dry cleaners and was a saleslady at Zayre’s and the Mart. Mary was a member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour and its Women’s Guild and charter member of Daughters of Vartan, of which she was corresponding secretary.
Funeral services will be held at the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street, Thursday, November 8, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 6-8 p.m. A Dahngark Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. The Daughters of Vartan will conduct their ritual at 6:30.
