Muriel S. (Crossman) Shaffer, of Medford, died Saturday morning in the Winthrop House Nursing Home, Medford after a brief illness. She was 96. Mrs. Shaffer is the beloved wife of the late Roy. She leaves one daughter: Jean Shaffer of Medford; two sons: Edwin Shaffer and his wife Mildred of Littleton, and Robert Shaffer and his wife Catherine of Revere.Mildred leaves two sisters: Elvira Steeves and Myrtle Beckwith, both of Canada. She was predeceased by her brother Frank Crossman and sister Ethel Dobson.She also leaves 4 loving grandchildren and 5 loving great grandchildren. Friends may call Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 8 at 10 am in the Community Baptist Church, Somerville, with the Rev´d. John Minor officiating. Burial will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
