Brankley, Marjorie J., age 59, of Stonehedge Convalescent Center in West Roxbury, died November 1, after a lengthy illness. She was born March 3, 1948 in Boston, the daughter of Otha and Marjorie (Jones) Brankley. Marjorie lived her entire life in Boston. In her youth, she was a member of People’s Baptist Church. After graduating high school, she was employed as a manager with Apollo Linen in the South End, and crown linen in South Boston. Marjorie was a member of several PTA’s and also was very involved in her community and neighborhood. She volunteered as a poll worker for the City of Boston as well as a fund raiser for various Fenway community organizations.
She is survived by her son Ronald M. Brankley; an Aunt Jean Washington, and several cousins.
Viewing and funeral services will be held at the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury, MA 02132 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday, November 9, 2007. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery immediately following committal services.
