Mrs. Pauline Defore, 80, of Fitzgerald, died Saturday, November 3, 2007 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 5, 2007, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Sunday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Defore was born March 31, 1927 in Ben Hill County, Georgia to the late Robert Glen and Irene Dorminey House. She had lived in the community all of her life. She was a retired inspector having worked for The Monarch Company and Custom Sportswear. She was a member of Crossview Baptist Church.
Mrs. Defore is survived by one granddaughter and her husband: Wendy & Wes Baker of Tifton; two great-granddaughters: Claire Baker and Gracie Baker, both of Tifton; one son-in-law: Carroll Wells of Fitzgerald; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Mrs. Iva Glenn Mitchell and Mrs. Irene Robitzsch & Bill, all of Fitzgerald; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Alvin Ernest Defore and a daughter: Etta Sue Defore Wells.
