Corris M. Hofmann, 93, of Boulder, Colorado died on Friday November 2, 2007 at Frasier Meadows in Boulder.
Born in Plainville, MA on September 18, 1914 she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mabelle (Fuller) Hofmann.
She grew up in Plainville and was educated in Plainville. She was a graduate of the University of Illinois, receiving her BS in Chemistry and went on to receive her Masters & Phd in Chemistry from Brynmawr College.
Ms Hofmann worked in Laboratory Research in the developing and testing of drugs before retiring.
An active attendant of the Methodist churches she was also a member of the American Chemists Society. Corris was extremely creative and enjoyed painting, especially in water colors, she also enjoyed gardening, bowling, golf and traveling.
Ms Hofmann had made her home in Boulder for the past 11 years and had formerly resided for over 10 years in Southbury, Conn.
She is survived by several cousins including Ruth King of Mansfield and her many close family friends.
Graveside funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Friday November 9th at 1:00 P.M. at the Plainville Cemetery, West Bacon Street, Plainville. Burial will follow
