Holden—Albert “Skip” B. Fair, 69, beloved husband & true friend of Janet D. Szocik Fair for 46 years and son of Geraldine B. Fair and the late Albert E. Fair, died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones Thursday, November 1, 2007. He was cherished by his children Scott, Keith, Drew, Wendi, and Mandie and was a loving father-in-law to Jenny, Kotti, Cydette, Diane, Joel, and David. He was treasured by his grandchildren Christina, Courtney, Emily, Jeremy, Jack, Sam, Adam, Ryan, Brooke, and his great-grandchild Steven. He will live in their hearts and memories forever. He also leaves his brothers Don, Ray, Bob, and his sister Elizabeth and their spouses and brothers-in-law Walter and Dan and their spouses, whom he loved.
Skip graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School and worked at Wyman-Gordon in Grafton for 43 years. He proudly served in the Coast Guard after a year in the 181st Infantry Division National Guard. He was a devoted parishioner at Christ Baptist Church where he shared and received many spiritual gifts. He belonged to the Greendale Retired Men’s Club. He enjoyed cooking and developing recipes, country rides, ocean waves, sunsets, waterfalls, Laguna Beach, CA, Lake Mills, WI, his boat, family & treasured “lifelong” friendships with David, Billy, Roger, Bobby, Joe and their spouses & Lucille W.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. at Christ Baptist Church, 24 Granby Road, Worcester by his friend and pastor, Rev. Walter Tilleman.
