Ruth E. (Cameron) Desilets formerly of Woonsocket died Saturday at home in Tullahoma TN. She was the wife of the late Robert Desilets. She was born in Everett MA, a daughter of the late William Cameron and the late Barbara (Hall) Morse. She was a homemaker and a Woonsocket resident most of her life.
Mrs. Desilets was a den mother for many years, and was the first woman manager of the Fairmount Little League. She was also very active with the Board of Canvassers in Woonsocket.
She is survived by a son Robert Desilets of Woonsocket, two daughters Barbara Desilets of Tullahoma TN, and Jessica Souviney of Murfreesboro TN, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mrs. Desilets is also survived by three brothers; William Cameron of Carmel IN, Joseph Cameron of Katy TX, and Paul Morse of Harrisville RI, and three sisters; Linda Brunelle of Woonsocket, Kathy Lavoie of Harrisville, and Brenda Brownelle of North Smithfield.
She was also the sister of the late Terry Souviney.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home 463 South Main St with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in Sacred Heart Church Second Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Friday 5-8pm.
