Rita A. (Golden) Bliss, of Dedham, fell asleep in the hands of the Lord, November 1, 2007, at the Westford House in Westford. She was 87. She was the beloved wife of the late Edwin H. Bliss.
Born in Chicopee, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose Golden. A homemaker, she was a Dedham resident for many years.
She was the devoted mother of Wendy Fawcett and her husband Terry of Eastlake, OH, Barbara Bliss and her husband Richard Laws of Westford and Alison Dintino and her husband Christopher of Mashpee. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was the sister of Lorraine Bearne of Holbrook and Hazel Duchaine of Springfield.
Her funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, on Monday at 8:00 AM with a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham, at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will follow in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Rita’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
