Obituary

WORCESTER__Chandler J. “Chan” Bousquet, Jr., 53, of 16 Kelly Square, died Friday October 26 in UMASS-Memorial Medical Center - University Campus.

He leaves his mother, Theresa (Vaillincourt) Ward and her companion Hank Weagle of Auburn; his father, Chandler J. Bousquet, Sr., and his wife Elaine of Millbury; two brothers, Gary Bousquet of Southbridge and Jack Bousquet of Holland; six sisters, Teresa Lynn Dupont, Tammy Robinson, Andrea Panek, all of Auburn, Maryann Desrosiers and her husband Richard of Woodstock, CT., Gayle Speight of Millbury and Jill Carter of Oxford; and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester and was a lifelong resident.

Mr. Bousquet served in the U.S. Marine Corps after attending Worcester Boys Trade High School. He was a youth worker with the Green Island Center and also worked for the City of Worcester. He was a volunteer at Gateway Services. Chan was an avid Red Sox and Patriot’s fan.

The funeral will be held on Friday November 2, from HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. John Church, 40 Temple Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday November 1, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Massachusetts Veteran’s Shelter, 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA., 01605.
