Obituary

Julia C. (Cardoza) Livramento, 79, of New Bedford died Wednesday January 1, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Antone S. Livramento.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Antone Cardoza and Mary (Miranda) Cardoza Rozario, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.

Mrs. Livramento was formerly employed by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 35 years until her retirement.

She was a member of the Goodyear Senior Citizens. An avid baker, she was also a fitness buff and animal lover.

Survivors include a son, Paul A. Livramento and his wife Carol of Graton, California; 2 sisters, Joan C. Grace of Dartmouth and Mary "Lourdy" Houtman and her husband Albert of New Bedford; a brother, Manuel V. "Sid" Rozario of New Bedford; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.She was the sister of the late Anna Cardoza.

Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordSaturday January 4, 2003 at 8 AM.Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Friday January 3, 2003 from 3-7 PM. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 47 South Sixth St., New Bedford, MA 02740.
