Theresa E. Bradley, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died on Sunday October 28, 2007 at her home in Charlestown following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 81 years old.
Theresa was born in Boston on October 27, 1926. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended St. Mary's Parachial School and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1944. Theresa worked for Whitting's Milk Company in Charlestown for almost 25 years as an accounting clerk. She also worked for several years at Matthew's Salad House in Charlestown.
Theresa is the beloved daughter of the late Patrick and Celia (McColgan) Bradley both formerly of County Donegal, Ireland. She is the devoted sister of Mary Dowd and her husband John of Somerville, Kathleen Fallon and her husband James of Billerica and the late James P. Bradley. She is the beloved sister-in-law of Ann Bradley of Medford. She is the loving aunt of Daniel Dowd of Cambridge, Diane and Stephen Dowd of Somerville, Nancy McCune of North Reading, James, Gregory and David Fallon all of Billerica, Nancy Bradley-Cooney of Medford, Maryann O'Keefe of Woburn and also great-aunt of 11 nieces and nephews. She is the dear friend of Mary Lilly.
Theresa's Funeral will be held on Friday November 2, 2007 at 9 a.m. from the Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Theresa will be on Thursday November 1, 2007 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
