Vincent N. "Vinny" Salamone, a 4 year resident of Charlestown and former 20 year resident of South Boston, died unexpectedly on Sunday October 28, 2007 at his home in Charlestown. He was 67 years old.
Vinny was born in Boston on December 25, 1939. He grew up in The West End section of Boston. He attended Boston Public Schools. Vinny worked on the Boston fish piers for several years before he began working as a bartender for Todd English's Bar in Boston for almost 30 years.
Vinny is the devoted father of Christine Salamone of Charlestown. He is the loving grandfather of John F. Collier ll and Nicole Katherine Collier. He is the great-grandfather of Caiden J. Collier. He is the beloved brother of Ann Marie DeFelice of Weymouth and Geraldine Ehrstein of Marshfield. He is also survived by 1 niece and several nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours for Vinny on Wednesday October 31, 2007 from 3 to 7 p.m. followed by his Funeral Service at 7 p.m. in The Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Cremation will take place following his Funeral Service.
