WORCESTER-Alexandros D. Woulas, 89, of 346 Grafton Street died Saturday, October 27th in Saint Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife of 55 years, Anthoula (Angelopos) Woulas; a son, Vasilios and his wife Kim Woulas of Palm Beach, FL; a daughter, Valerie Kalkounis of Worcester; 5 grandchildren, Karalyn, Christina, Alexander, Gina and Kosta, 2 great-grand daughters, Jalynn and Katerina. 5 brothers and 3 sisters predeceased him.
He was born in Filiates, Greece the son of Dimitrios and Olga (Gogou) Woulas. Mr. Woulas served in the Greek Army for 5 years during World War II and came to Worcester in 1966. He was a member of Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the Order of AHEPA. Mr. Woulas owned and operated A & V Pizza for 21 years.
The funeral is Wednesday, October 31st with a service at 10:00 AM in Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are from 9:00 until 10:00 AM the day of the funeral in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangments.
