WEBSTER – Clara A. DeCarli, 82, formerly of Chase Avenue, died Sunday, October 28, in Oakwood Rehab & Nursing Center.
She leaves three sisters, Mary Morrison of Lisbon, CT, Margaret Morin of North Grosvenordale, CT, and Theresa Hostak of East Douglas; nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and a great great niece.
She was born and raised in the Wilsonville section of Thompson, a daughter of Antonio and Johanna (Slongo) DeCarli, and lived in Webster over 40 years. She was a graduate of Tourtellotte Memorial High School in North Grosvenordale, CT.
Miss DeCarli worked at the American Optical Company in Southbridge for 42 years before retiring as a supervisor. She then worked part-time at RCA Optical Company in Webster, retiring in 2003.
She was a member of Saint Louis Church and the Saint Louis League of Catholic Women. She was also a member of the American Optical Company Quarter Century Club.
The funeral will be held Friday, November 2, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake St. Burial will be in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, North Grosvenordale, CT. A calling period will be from 8:15 to 9:15 AM Friday, November 2, at the funeral home. Donations in her name may be made to St. Louis School Endowment Fund, 15 Lake St., Webster, MA 01570.
