Janet K. (Baldwin) Burnes, of Newton formerly of Greenwich, CT. died Tues Oct 23, 2007 at Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton. She was 98.
Born in England, she had lived in Newton for many years. She had worked for Lauriat’ Books in Chestnut Hill for over 20 years and later for Paper Cutter. She was the past treasurer of the Echo Ridge Tenants Assoc.
Wife of the late William Ryan Burnes and mother of the late Jane E. Murray, she is survived by her grandchildren Edward Murray of Newton Centre, Julie McCaffrey of Potomac MD, Susan Murray of Stow and three great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in sacred Heart Church Newton Centre on Fri Oct 26. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Greenwich, CT.
