LOWELL - Jeannette M. (Chartrand) Brown, 79, a resident of Lowell, died Thursday October 25th, at Lowell General Hospital.
She was born in Lowell on March 20, 1928, and was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Emma (Corcoran) Chartrand. She received her education in Lowell schools.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Brown was employed as an assembler by Microwave Radio Company. She was also previously employed by Hathaway Shirt Company.
In her free time she loved playing cards and spending time with her family. Mrs. Brown enjoyed playing bingo at the Lowell Senior Citizens Center.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Deborah Brown of Dracut, and Peter and Linda Brown of Lowell; three daughters and a son-in-law Lynnda Ignacio of Lowell, Beverly and Richard Donahue of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Donna Brown of Lowell; ten grandchildren Jeffrey Ignacio and his wife Roxanne, Timmothy Ignacio and his fiance Nikki Supranovich, Andrea Grier and her husband Shaun, David Brown and his wife Bridgette, Matthew Donahue, Shaun Donahue, Karen Donahue, Richard Donahue, Jennifer Brown, and Christopher Brown; five great grandchildren Ryan Ignacio, Brendon Ignacio, Nicholas Grier, Lindsay Grier, and Kaitlyn Donahue; a sister Priscilla Weinstein of FL; two sisters-in-law Eveline Ferriera of FL, and Dr. B. Margaret Voss of Michigan; a special family friend Anne Wagner of Lowell; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Bertha Chartrand and Blanche Simard.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Monday from 4 until 8PM. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday at 9AM followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10AM at St. Rita Church in Lowell. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, in Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributuions may be made in her name to the Lowell General Hospital Development Fund, 295 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, MA 01854.
