James V. Bacchiocchi, 89 of Medway died October 22 in the Franklin Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was the husband of Edna (Pleau) Bacchiocchi, for the past 67 years.
Born in Milford, July 23, 1918 the son of the late Peter and Sernia (Liberto) Bacchiocchi, Mr. Bacchiocchi was raised in Milford and had lived in Medway for over most of his adult life.
Mr. Bacchiocchi had worked for the former United Shoe Company in West Medway for many years retiring as foreman.
He served in the Navy during World War II, attaining the rank of Petty Officer First Class.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Robert Bacchiocchi of Brownfield, Maine.
He was the father of the late Ronald Bacchiocchi.
He is also survived by his brother, Alfred Bacchiocchi of Milford, a sister Angelina Mozel of Upton, 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Katherine DeGrazio and Dorothy Daniels.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 29 in St. Stephen’s Cemetery Framingham at 11:00 a.m.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway.
