Eula Mae Smith Hayles, age 86, died on October 25, 2007 in Water Valley, MS. She was born on June 18, 1921 to Little Berry Smith and Myrtle Ethlyn Kisner Smith.
Mrs. Hayles was a member of First Baptist Church of Water Valley. She retired from Holly Carburetor after many years of service there.
Visitation for Eula Hayles will be Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seven Oaks Funeral Home, and a graveside service will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery at 1:30 on Sunday, October 28, 2007 with Rev. Freddie Moorman presiding.
She is survived by two sons, Claud R. Hayles, Jr. of Water Valley, MS, and Robert D. Hayles of Clearwater, FL; two brothers, Robert F. Smith (Mattie) of Memphis, TN, and Norman Smith (Helen) of Thomasville, NC; one sister, Mary Theo Bennett of Memphis, TN; and 2 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claud R. Hayles, Sr.; one son, Henry Thomas Hayles; and two sisters, Ethlyn Francis Ingram and Beulah Faye Tamboli.
