Maria Albertina (da Silva) da Silva, 87, died Thursday, October 25 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Jose Agostinho da Silva. Born in San Joao do Pico in the Azores, Portugal, she was raised and educated there. Mrs. da Silva was a resident of Stoughton for the past 16 years. She was a homemaker. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Maria Balbina Fraga of Portugal and Maria Albertina Sousa of Stoughton. She was the sister of Maria da Silva of Portugal. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Patricia Fraga, Carlos Fraga and Andrew Sousa and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, October 29 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-5 PM. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
