Kathryn L. (Reddy) Hunt, 87, of Dartmouth died October 24, 2007 at Taber Street Nursing Home after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Raymond T. Hunt.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Michael J. and Alice M. (Wylie) Reddy, she lived in New Bedford most of her life before moving to Dartmouth in 1978.
Mrs. Hunt was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.
She was formerly employed as a registered nurse at St. Luke's Hospital and later as a public health nurse with the City of New Bedford before retiring as a social worker with the Department of Transitional Assistance for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Mrs. Hunt was a member of the Y.M.C.A. for over 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, walking and gardening.
Survivors include 2 sons, Atty. Thomas R. Hunt, and his wife Annmarie, of Dartmouth and Michael J. Hunt, and his wife Lae, of North Attleboro; a daughter, Katherine M. Townley, and her husband John, of Dartmouth; a sister, Marion Yeager of California; 5 grandchildren, Timothy H. Townley of Boston, Martha H. Townley of New York City, Kevin R. Hunt of New Bedford, Eric M. Hunt of Dartmouth and Lauren Kathryn Hunt of North Attleboro; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Leonard Reddy, Grace May and Helen Sawyer.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Saturday, October 27th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Julie Billiart Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday, October 26th from 4-8 PM.
