Obituary

Maurice H. Felker, 83, of Londonderry, NH, died Wednesday, October 24, 2007 in the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry, NH. Mr. Felker was born in Laconia, NH on June 20, 1924, a son of the late Louis and Ruth (Preston) Felker. He was a resident of Londonderry since 1996, formerly living in Florida and Manchester, NH. He graduated from Laconia High School. Mr. Felker served in the US Army Air Force during WWII as a First Lieutenant, where he flew 42 missions over Germany while stationed in London, England. He worked as a textile engineer for Scott and Williams in NH, Burlington Mills in North Carolina, and before retirement, as a purchasing manager for C.R. Bard in Billerica, MA. His hobbies were gardening and woodworking.
Family members include his wife of 60 years, Ida J. (Mancusi) Felker of Londonderry; a daughter, Deborah S. Lavoie and her husband Paul of Londonderry; a son Andrew Felker of Summerville, SC; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Provencal of Laconia, and Barbara Kelley of Belmont, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
There were no calling hours. A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 27th at 11:00am in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, followed by a memorial gathering in the Mountain Home Estates Clubhouse in Londonderry. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry handled the arrangements.
