Obituary

Evelyn M. (Bigos) Bobola, 84, of Dartmouth died Tuesday October 23, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Dartmouth, the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Szarek) Bigos, she lived in Dartmouth all of her life.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Society.

Mrs. Bobola was formerly employed as a cafeteria worker at Southeastern Massachusetts University until her retirement.

Survivors include six children, Louise E. Beals and her husband Ron of Pittsfield, Robert M. Bobola and his wife Nancy of Fairhaven, Ronald S. Bobola and his wife Vi of Lakeville, Ann K. Bobola and her companion Bob Roy, and Richard L. Bobola and his wife Paula, all of Dartmouth, and Christine M. Jenkins and her husband Jim of Acushnet; a sister, Irene Stawasz of California; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was a special cioci to Honey LeRoux.


She was the sister of the late Elizabeth Siwik, Blanche Perry, Sabina Sojka, Cecelia Tracz, Louis Bigos, Stefan Bigos, Charles Bigos, Henry Bigos, Alfred Bigos, Stanley Bigos, and Frank Bigos.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
