Jeannette Rose (Galipeau) Greenwood, 91, of New Bedford, died Monday, October 22, 2007 at The Oaks.
She was the wife of the late Richard Greenwood and the daughter of the late Philippe and Roseanne (Belhumeur) Galipeau.
Born in New Bedford, she was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
Mrs. Greenwood worked until her retirement at the Morse Twist Drill.
A woman of many talents, she was skilled at sewing and is renown for her beautiful hand-crocheted afghans, her beautifully kept garden and floral arrangements.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Greenwood and his wife, Donna of New Jersey; Bernard Greenwood and his wife, Donna of Marion; three grandchildren, Brett Greenwood and his fiancee, Adrienne Hull of New Bedford, Bridget Greenwood of Marion and Leslie Ann Cappadona and her husband, Michael of New Jersey; great-grandchildren, Lauren Paige Cappadona and Tyler Michael Cappadona of New Jersey. She was the sister of Claire Carney of Florida, as well as the late Lucille Leblanc and George O. Galipeau. She is survived by many nieces and nephews including her godchild, Dr. Doreen Parkhurst of Boynton Beach, FL.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Friday, October 26th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday, October 25th from 4-7 PM.
