Obituary

Joseph W. Demasi passed away on October 21, 2007 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. He was 65 years old.

Born in Cambridge, Joseph was a longtime resident of Malden and East Boston. He worked as a truck driver for many years and was an active member of the Teamster Union Local 25. Joseph served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era and retired from the U.S. Navy FCABB. He was also an avid New York Yankees fan.

Joseph was the loving son of Vivian Demasi of Malden and her late husband Dominic. He was the beloved father of Maryann and Kelly Eason, Tracy Ferrante and her husband Phil, Joseph Demasi and his wife Catherine, Jodi Eason, Anthony Demasi, Cary Havey, Todd Demasi and his wife Dawn and Jay and Josh Demasi. Joseph was the dear brother of Donna Malvey and her husband Bill and the uncle of Michael and Michele Malvey. He was also the cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren.

The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday, October 25th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere Street, Revere at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Wednesday October 24th from 4-8 p.m. Interment MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
