Florence P. Dexter, 82, of Second Avenue, Wildwood, Fl, died Monday evening December 30, 2002 in the Laurel Center, Bedford, NH following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Dexter was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 10, 1920 the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Hirschman) Kessler. She had resided in Bedford for the past year formerly living in Wildwood, Fl, and Derry, NH for many years. She had been employed in the cafeteria at Pinkerton Academy, Derry for over 15 years. She was active in the Girl Scouts in Derry for over 10 years and was also a member of the Derry Garden Club. While living in Wildwood, Fl, she was very active in numerous clubs and activities.
She is survived by her husband, Roy E. Dexter Sr., Wildwood, Fl, three daughters, Claradell Anderson, Orr’s Island, Me and Melbourne Beach, Fl, Lauren Baker, New Canaan, Ct, Sharon Tower, Manchester, NH, one son, Roy E. Dexter Jr., Derry, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday January 4, 2002 at the Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. Calling hours will be Friday from 3:30 – 6:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice.
